Step Count

Part of my ‘new year’ is a bit of a health kick

Including exercise – primarily walking so what is a viable step count

I have started with a target of 7k a day – yesterday and today this was easy – sightseeing in Amsterdam but I am not sure how this will go when I am back at work

Teaching can be quite sedentary so I will have to find extra steps outside of work

We will see

  1. You are pretty close to where you want to be. I think the recommended is 10k steps which are about 8k a day. I have been pretty sedentary at work (I write content for websites) so it does help if you can stand for a larger chunk of the day, for me it was a standing desk at work. I made one out of some old books stacked on top of each other.

    Good job on being healthy!
